Inquest23 November 1934An inquest was held on her on 23 November 1934 in Mansfield, NottinghamshireG.
from the Nottingham Evening Post, 23rd November 1934:

MANSFIELD WOMAN'S SUICIDE

TRAGIC DISCOVERY BY SON

A verdict of "Suicide while of unsound mind" was returned at the inquest at Mansfield today on Rosa Goff, 49, of 87, Newgate Lane, Mansfield, who was found hanging at her home on Thursday.

The husband said that his wife had been in poor health, and under the doctor for 12 months. She had been depressed about her health and family unemployment.

David Goff, the woman's 19-year-old son, described how he found his mother, clad in her nightdress, hanging in the scullery by a piece of clothes line when he came downstairs about 8 o'clock. It was her habit to get up early to make a cup of tea. Witness stated he had only had 13 week's work since he left school.

P.S. Cuckson said the doctor had told him she had been dead about 2 hours. He had attended her for 12 months, as she was suffering from nerves and delusions. She had been very much depressed.
